Headframe and Hoist House

Located in Snow Lake, MB, HBMS’s new Lalor Mine development, valued at over $560 million, it is expected to recover zinc, gold and copper deposits.

MSE was subcontracted to provide equipment and manpower to erect over 2500 tons of structural steel and plate work, as well as install the entire cladding system and doors. Not only was MSE able to meet the owner’s scheduled deadlines, but we exceeded expectations, completing both the Hoist House and main Headframe buildings, including structural steel, heavy mechanical components, miscellaneous steel, overhead cranes, cladding, overhead and man-doors in less than 8 months. Work continued through some of the harshest winter weather conditions in northern Canada, with very little standby time and no lost time incidents.
